MoviPrep – Option #1 Instructions
Use this option if your
colonoscopy is in the Morning before Noon.

Please follow these
instructions carefully.
Do NOT exceed recommended dose
as serious side effects can
occur.
Be aware that if you do NOT
prep as directed your procedure
will be cancelled.
Please call the office
immediately if you did not give
the Scheduler a list of your
current medications, vitamins
and allergies.
BOTH DOSES
of the MoviPrep are taken the
Night before
the Colonoscopy.
FIRST DOSE
– Begin after Work, but no later than 7 PM.
After mixing pour the MoviPrep over a glass of ice
to make it cold.
This makes the MoviPrep taste better. (Look at the
Illustration below on how to mix MoviPrep)
SECOND DOSE
– Begin the second dose 90 minutes after finishing the
first dose. Remember pour the MoviPrep over ice to make it
taste better.
The MORNING OF THE PROCEDURE: Do Not Eat or Drink ANYTHING the day of
the test, except morning medicines with a small sip of water
up to 4 hours before the test. DO NOT CHEW GUM, HARD CANDY,
or SMOKE UNTIL AFTER YOUR PROCEDURE. If the test is
scheduled after 1 PM then you may have small sips of water up
to 8 AM, then nothing more afterwards.
YOUR PROCEDURE WILL BE
CANCELLED IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW
ALL OF THE PREP
INSTRUCTIONS .
Please arrange for a friend or
family member to drive you
home. Public
transportation is NOT
acceptable.
