MoviPrep – Option #3
Instructions
SPLIT Dosing BOTH Doses the day before the
Colonoscopy.
You may use this option if you are
retired or if you work part-time. |
Please follow these
instructions carefully.
Do NOT exceed recommended dose
as serious side effects can
occur.
Be aware that if you do NOT
prep as directed your procedure
will be cancelled.
Please call the office
immediately if you did not give
the Scheduler a list of your
current medications, vitamins
and allergies.
FIRST DOSE – Begin in the
Morning of the day before the Colonoscopy. You can mix
the MoviPrep the night before and leave it in the
refrigerator overnight to make it cold for when you start
drinking. After mixing pour the MoviPrep
over a glass of ice to make it cold, if it is not cold
enough. This
makes the MoviPrep taste better. (Look at the Illustration
below on how to mix MoviPrep) Mix the prep again and place in
the refrigerator so it will be cold when you drink it again
later today.
SECOND DOSE – Begin in the
afternoon or early evening no later than 7 PM on the day
before your Colonoscopy. Remember pour the MoviPrep over ice
to make it taste better, if it is not cold enough.
The MORNING OF THE PROCEDURE: Do Not Eat or Drink ANYTHING More the day
of the test, except morning medicines with a small sip of
water up to 4 hours before the test. DO NOT CHEW GUM, HARD
CANDY, or SMOKE UNTIL AFTER YOUR PROCEDURE.
YOUR PROCEDURE WILL BE
CANCELLED IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW
ALL OF THE PREP
INSTRUCTIONS.
Please arrange for a friend or
family member to drive you
home. Public
transportation is NOT
acceptable.
